I HATE BREAKING OUT!!!!

I HATE BREAKING OUT!!!! Lets just start with that.  Its amazing how confident I am when I have makeup on compared to when I don't and I'm breaking out.  I went out today with no makeup while im having a server break out, meaning at least four or five pimples.  GROSS, I know!!!! And I went out in public like that!  I shouldn't even be allowed out of the house!  I felt like I wanted to hide I honestly dont think i have ever been so self conscious in my life.  And I know its superficial stuff and it sounds stupid, which compared to most things it is but this is a makeup blog and this is what is talked about on here.  Its not a secret that im not a small girl ( which I'm working on) but I feel like I was this huge, trashy, broke out, gross person.  Like I'm that ridiculous girl that when I'm breaking out and go without makeup in public I feel like people think I'm on drugs lol I even have to laugh at myself because I know how absolutely ridiculous it is but, still.  I'm going to do an aspirin mask and pray that helps.  I know there are so many things I need to do to make my skin better and if today wasnt a kick to get my butt in gear I dont know what was.  Im done venting.  Hope you all had a great day!  Love you guys! Breakouts or not!!!

DIY HAIR MASK FOR DRY/DAMAGED HAIR

Here I am with yet ANOTHER DIY for ya!  I'm the kind of person that if I think of something I want it done now.  I cant always run to the store with two little kids to look at beauty products for hours to decide what I want.  So that's when I turn to the web.  I find ideas of what I would like to do depending on the part of the body, and what I want to do to it.  Today I decided my hair needing a little extra help I at home bleached it last night and even tho im cutting most of it off I still don't want to totally fry it.  This mask is perfect for dry and damaged hair and works wonders.  All you need is coconut oil (unrefined if you can) but refined will work too.  And one egg.  You need to heat the oil up since it comes in solid form, plus having it warm will help it open up the hair follicles and penetrate the hair even more.  The egg is a good source of protein for the hair.  Make sure the oil isn't too hot or it will scramble the egg.  We aren't making breakfast here people we are doing a HAIR treatment!  Apply all over hair and wrap in plastic bag to keep heat in.  Leave on for 30 to 40 min.  I left mine on a couple of hours and did things around the house.  Rinse with warm water and shampoo and condition like normal.  Your hair will feel amazingly soft and healthy.  You're welcome :)

What you will need:
Coconut Oil
1 Whole Egg
Mixing Bowl
Fork to mix
Plastic bag or shower cap

Beautiful, healthy hair in minutes

STRAWBERRY MASK. PERFECT FOR OILY/ACNE PRONE SKIN

While I did my banana foot mask I decided to do a face mask.  I finally didn't have the kids and decided it was at home spa time!  This strawberry face mask is perfect for people who have acne or oily skin.  Strawberries cleanse, exfoliate and refresh your skin because the salicylic acid gets rid of your dead skin cells, it tightens your pores and brightens up your face making it look shinier. They refresh, remove impurities, reduce swelling and redness and slightly whiten your skin.  You also may want to be careful there are quite a few people who are allergic to strawberries.  Since strawberries are highly allergic I would test this on a patch of skin first before putting it all over your entire face.  Also do not use if you have a sunburn or extremely sensitive skin.  Now that im done with the serious stuff lets get on to the fun stuff!  I wont list it below but since I have dry skin but acne prone I used the rest of the banana that I used for the foot mask in this face mask so it wouldn't completely dry my face out. Since I have no shame I included a pic of me wearing the mask.  Hope you enjoy!

What you will need
 4 to 5 ripe strawberries
 2 teaspoons of honey

How to:  Mash the strawberries and honey in bowl until retavely smooth.  Smooth paste all over your skin avoiding eye area and leave on for 20 mins.  Rinse with cool water.  Pat dry face with clean towel.

SPRING/SUMMER FOOT HEAVEN!

As im sitting here waiting for my strawberry mask to dry ( Post coming soon for that) I thought I would tell you about another must for the spring/summer season.  This is easy, cheap and gets your feet sandal ready for the Spring/Summer seasons.  All you need is one ripe banana, that's it! I did this over the tub of course because of the mess but if you are more brave you can do it where ever.  Mash one ripe banana and lather all over your feet.  Bananas are super rich in Vitamin A and Potassium, and they are very good at softening and hydrating the skin.  Leave this foot masks on for 10 mins and rinse with warm water.  You should be able to feel a difference with just one use! I used my pumice stone in the shower and put lotion on my feet after.  Hello HEAVEN!! This is a summer must!  READY, SET, GO BANANAS!!

EYE OF THE DAY

Started with Two Faced shadow insurance all over the lid and under the eye.  I have the Tarte Jewelry Box palette that was for Christmas 2 years ago that i wanted to play with again.  I loved it when I first got it and since then its just been pushed to the side.  Tarte doesn't have names on their shadows so if you have this palette the color I used first is the top left highlight color in the shimmer shadows which is the first thing you see when you open the box (matte are underneath).  I then took a shadow that was almost my skin tone but a little darker since I knew I was doing dark colors I wanted something there to blend into.  Then put the dark blue in the Tarte Jewelry Box palette all over my lid and put black on the inner corner to darken it up a little bit.  For an extra pop I used NYX shadow pencil in Pots and Pans on my lower lash line and set it with the silver from the Tarte palette.  You can do this with any color shadows these are the ones I chose for today.  For liner I used my L'Oreal Paris Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner, 799 Carbon Black.  I love this liner it isn't great for the waterline you do have to keep touching it up through the day because it does tend to start running down the eye toward the end of the day but I absolutely love it its incredibly black and goes on beyond smooth.  For mascara I used a mixture of Stila's Forever Your Curl in Black and my trusty CoverGirl Lash Blast in Black.  Sometimes you're just in the mood to be dark!

EYE OF THE DAY

Eye Of The Day: Maybelline 24 hour color tattoo in Bad to the Bronze as base.  Over that I put a little bit of  l'oreal infallible in Iced Latte.  I wanted to do a little pop of color with my neutral eye so I lined the upper lid with Maybelline 24 hour color tattoo in Tenacious Teal and added a bright teal shadow over to lock in the cream color.   Lined my waterline with Prestige Waterproof Automatic eyeliner in Smoke.  Finished it off with Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara in Very Black. Hope you guys like I know I love it!

MAYBELLINE COLOR TATTOO 24 HOUR SHADOW

These are heaven sent. The five I have absolutely love.  They have been compared to MAC paint pots which i have never tried but if they are as amazing as these sign me up!  The Color Tattoo cream shadows are amazingly pigmented and really do stay forever.  They don't crease like most cream shadows do and can be worn alone without a base for an easy put on and head out the door application.

from right: Tenacious Teal, Tough as Taupe, Too Cool, Bold Gold, Bad to the Bronze

Tenacious Teal is an amazing darker but bright medium blue with sliver shimmer.  It applies amazingly and has great color payoff.

Tough as Taupe is a great mauve taupe color. its the only color i have that doesn't have any shimmer to it and sets pretty matte.

Too Cool is a perfect white, almost pearl color, it would be a great base under any shadow to make it pop.

Bold Gold there really isn't anything else to say about this color its the perfect true yellow gold.

Bad to the Bronze has to be my favorite and a favorite to many its a perfect metallic bronze and would look perfect with any color from the Urban Decay Naked Palette.

DIY LEMONADE FACE SCRUB

When life hands you lemons, Make a scrub!

I always love me a good DIY scrub/mask, whatever. This scrub is one I do a lot I have very dry skin and it makes it feel aaaaaamazing. All you need is obviously a bowl, something to mix with (we're getting technical now) sugar, honey and lemon or lemon juice you know the one that comes in the lemon shaped plastic thing. I put sugar and honey in a bowl and then add the lemon I add just enough lemon to make the honey and sugar break up a bit. really its up to you how you want your scrub. The great thing about doing it yourself is you can make it how YOU want it. I always do this in the shower to make sure all the sugar comes off but you could do it in the sink if you wanted. Make sure to rinse your face a little longer than you think is needed because trust me you do not want lemon juice in your eye. Thats a quick way to ruin your any day. This is so great for the skin the lemon helps with blackheads, helps to lighten dark spots and almost helps get rid of dead skin cells.  The honey is naturally antibacterial and helps get rid of any dirt and yuck on your face. I use it when im breaking out and it seems to clam redness and make my skin super soft.  The sugar helps with softening your skin and getting rid of dead skin cells along with the lemon.  I hope everyone enjoys I know this leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft and my make up goes on so much better.

HOPE YOU ENJOY!!

COSMETIC ARTS NAIL POLISH

COSMETIC ARTS hot pink nail polish is prob one of my faves ever. every time i look down at my hands i get happy and it probably couldn't be a more perfect shade for summer. i found this baby at ROSS for those of you who don't know what ROSS is its a store like MARSHALS and TJ MAXX. this was a steal for $1.99. They had super crazy loud colors and i loved the pink and  thought i would give it a try. it was love at first swipe, it stays perfectly doesn't chip and dries down to an almost but not quiet matte finish.  This polish doesn't have a name but lets just call it heaven!! Defiantly check out your local ROSS to see if they have any. I'm really impressed with the formula so i'm sure the other colors would be great as well and for 2 dollars oh freakin well. At least you're not breakin the bank, i've given more than that to homeless people on the streets! the lol

the pic of me shows the polishs true color the light in the other washes it out a bit since its so bright.

ENJOY LOVIES!

QUOTE OF THE DAY

Im going to be posting a quote a day. I live by quotes it's kind of like music you read a quote and it says the words you were trying to say but couldn't find.  This is my all time favorite I live by it and say it constantly.  Too many people are changing for other people and not realzing who they really are.  This says it perfectly if you cant handle me at my worst you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

ESSIE DAMSEL IN A DRESS

I love this color!! Its my go to color for sure. Its a deep purple with some shimmer. Its from the winter 08 collection. I would think the vampy lovers would defiantly  like this color too. It takes about two coats for it to be perfect on me. I honestly could go on and on about this it is defiantly one of my holy grail polishes and get complements every time I wear it.

QUEEN OF THE CASTLE

I know this isnt beauty related but are you dying over this lamp like i am right now!?!  I picked it up at home goods for $16.99. they also have it in purple. its the perfect lamp for the little princess in your life. for those of you who dont know I have a one year old and she is turning into her mommy more and more everyday.  i cant wait to set this up and post pics of her magical princess room!  hope everyone has an amazing day! thanks for taking the time out to read my craziness!

JEEPERS CREEPERS WHERE'D YOU GET THOSE PEEPERS!

Okay so whoever this is I need to find her and take her eyes.  Okay not really that's a little extreme but I love the way her eyes are she has perfect lid space. Whoever this girl is has tons of pics on pinterest.  I know this is a random post but it wouldn't be me and it wouldn't be my blog if there weren't some crazy random things. Have you guys ever looked at eyes like that and wanted them?  We always want what we don't have.  I know i'm not the only one who would love to have these amazing set a peepers.  Guess i'm stuck with what I have and that's just fine by me!

imPRESS more like DEPRESSED!

 imPRESS press on nails

So I saw these on tv and of course I was drawn to them. I mean they have freakin Nicole Scherzinger as the one promoting them. Whatever she has I want. Except these. I really don't like these one bit at all. I tried and tired, I really did give them a chance but they just plan suck. You're supposed to be able to peel the back stick them on and go.  Okay yea you can stick them on and go but you can also be guaranteed to have them fall off within the first hour of wearing them. Unless of course your sitting still not moving or even breathing. And don't even THINK about washing your hands once you do they are gone forever. I think they were $5.99 or $6.99 either way not too spendy since thats about what you pay for the glue on fake nails.  imPRESS has so many amazing designs and colors I had such high hopes for these. I mean I bought 5 sets for god's sake and I was highly highly disappointed. I dont even think I can make these work I mean maybe MAYBE you could try to glue them and not waste your time with the "sticky" on it but then again its on the whole nail so things might get stuck under your nail. All in all these were a waste, such a shame.
